The following fees information is periodically reviewed and updated.

Help with childcare costs from birth

  • Tax Free Childcare Scheme (20% government contribution to fees for all households where both parents are working a minimum of 16 hours per week)
  • 5% sibling discount to youngest child
  • Childcare Voucher Schemes accepted – pre-tax payment of fees organised by employer

Childcare cost savings for children aged 2-3 years

  • Ystradgynlais: Flying Start – 12.5 hours childcare per week for 39 weeks during term – time plus 3 weeks in the school holidays.
  • Pontardawe Flying Start new from January 2025.
  • Tax Free Childcare Scheme

Childcare cost savings from age 3-4 Years

  • 30 Hours Childcare Offer in Wales – 20 hours free childcare during term-time and 30 hours per week for up to 9 weeks of school holidays for 3 and 4 year old children for working households where parents each earn less than £100,00 per year and work at least 16 hours per week. Can be used in conjunction with Tax Free Childcare Scheme (20% government contribution).
  • If both parents are working and eligible for universal credit you might be eligible for UC funding of up to 85% of your childcare costs.
